Community Action Partnership of
Central Illinois has named Holly Roper as Head Start director. Ms.
Roper's first day as director was Monday.
She will oversee the operations and management of the Head Start and
Early Head Start programs to meet the requirements and guidelines of
the Head Start grant and the needs of Head Start students and their
families.

She has been a part of the Community Action Head Start
program since January of 2011. She received her bachelor's degree in
elementary education from Bradley University in 2009.
When asked what benefits the Head Start program brings to our
communities, Roper said: "Head Start is truly a comprehensive
program that not only ensures each child is ready for kindergarten,
but that their families are as well. With the wide, rural areas we
serve, we reach the children and families that otherwise would not
have access to the educational, health and family services we offer.

"I see many opportunities for Head Start and our entire agency to
reach clients with new and innovative services. With these uncertain
times, we need to be creative with our approach. I feel that I can
offer this voice of change and am ready to do so in order to see
Head Start live in this community for many years to come."
Community Action Head Start is part of the Community Action
Partnership of Central Illinois, a not-for-profit agency serving the
low-income and senior populations of six counties in central
Illinois. For more information, visit
