[May 25, 2013]  LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- A trial date has been set for a Nebraska defensive end accused of exposing his genitals to a female student.

Freshman Avery Moss briefly appeared Friday in Lancaster County Court. His trial is scheduled for July 23.

The 18-year-old Moss has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of public indecency. He's also pleaded not guilty to disturbing the peace and failing to appear for a January court date.

The female student says a man exposed himself twice to her in December at a campus convenience store where she worked. She later identified Moss to authorities by photo.

Moss, of Tempe, Ariz., played in three games last year before a shoulder injury sidelined him.

A message left for Moss' attorney was not immediately returned Friday.
