Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a
Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to
4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the
church's parking lot, at the corner of
Eighth and Maple streets.
The
public is invited. All ages are welcome to
join in the games, snacks, songs, stories
and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all
for free.

Orphan Sunday Coffeehouse
On the first weekend in November 2013,
thousands of events will echo across America and
around the globe, all sharing a single goal:
that God’s great love for the orphan will find
echo in our lives as well. Please support Woven
Together as we celebrate what God is doing right
here in Logan county through adoption, foster
care, and global orphan care. Our coffeehouse
will include inspiring music, moving
testimonies, fair trade coffee, and yummy
desserts. Lincoln Christian Church will
host this event Saturday, November 2,
7:00-9:00 p.m. in Rms. 15/16. Ticket

This Sunday, November 3, 2013 the
congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church
will celebrate All Saints’ Day and
remember with gladness the following members of
the congregation who joined the Church
Triumphant during the past year. Those members
are: Eleanor Schmidt, Ralph Schmidt, Robert
Olson, Duane Klockenga, Deloris Pourchot,
Eugenia Merry, Calvin McCabe, Mary Lou Myers,
Charles Huffer and Alan Pegram.
During the worship service the congregation will
also remember and and celebrate the baptism of
Eliot James Vernor, son of Jay and Carrie Vernor,
who was baptized earlier this year.

Turkey Dinner at Latham United Methodist Church on November 3!
The Latham United Methodist Church is hosting a turkey dinner on
November 3, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The meal
includes turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll, salad bar,
and dessert. Drinks are included in the price and but children 0- 2
are free. There is a lift for those who cannot make the stairs. The
church is located at 241 Walnut Street in Latham, IL. For ticket

work and church repairs.

Tenth Annual
Service of Remembrance
The Wellness Ministry Team of Lincoln Christian
Church will host the Tenth Annual Service of
Remembrance on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at
3:00 p.m. in the Church Sanctuary.
We invite those who have lost loved ones during
the past year to submit a photo of your loved
one by November 4 in order to be included in the
pictures displayed in a power point presentation
during the service. You can bring or mail the
photo to the Lincoln Christian Church office,
where it will be scanned and returned to you. If
you have a digital photo, you can send it to

2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner
Come and enjoy a Free Thanksgiving Meal on Sunday, November 24
from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Open Arms Christian Fellowship. Last
year 300-400 people enjoyed this free meal and time of fellowship.
This year the church is preparing 20 Turkeys and all the fixings
(mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, dressing and dessert.) We are
blessed to have Home Sweet Home Ministries of Bloomington/Mission
Mart of Lincoln partnering with OACF in this community event. All
the funds from selling Turkey Cards at the Lincoln Mission Mart are
staying in the Community helping with this meal and providing
Thanksgiving meals to others in need in Lincoln and Logan County.
You can purchase a Turkey Card for $2.00 during normal business
hours at Mission Mart and help others in our community. Please
spread the word and let others know of this Community Thanksgiving
Dinner. OACF is the church who annually brings you Family Fun Day.

Carry-Out Pork Chop Dinner is
Sunday, November 24
GOOD NEWS Creative Arts is having a Carry-Out Pork Chop Dinner
fundraiser on Sunday, November 24, from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
to help the students raise money for GNCA’s summer tour in June. The
carry-out menu includes a grilled boneless pork chop, candy glazed
carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a roll with butter. You can
purchase your ticket from any Good News Creative Arts student now
through November 10 to directly support that GNCA student. On Sunday
mornings, the GNCA students will be behind the Welcome Center in the
Family Room for ticket sales now through November 17. You can also
purchase a ticket in the church office during the week to go toward
the general fund. Ticket information available through the church

Good News Creative Arts is made up of 7th-12th grade students. Our
Home Concert will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. with tour
following June 5-11. The seven-day tour will take GOOD NEWS Creative
Arts through Iowa, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and
