Sen. Kirk Dillard, candidate for governor, to meet Lincoln voters

State Sen. Kirk Dillard, a
Republican candidate for governor, will be in Lincoln on Thursday
evening for a "meet and greet" with local voters. Dillard will be at
the Knights of Columbus, 217 Limit St., from 5 to 7 p.m.

Appetizers will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
Dillard, a Republican from Hinsdale, served as former Gov. Jim
Edgar's chief of staff from 1990 to 1993. He has served as a member
of the state Senate since 1995 and was appointed assistant
Republican leader in 2013.
Dillard and his wife, Stephanie, have Logan County connections:
They were married in Elkhart. They have two school-age daughters.
Dillard has selected as his running mate state Rep. Jil Tracy
