Illinois grain prices in country elevators

[November 09, 2013]  SPRINGFIELD -- This is Friday's report of the grain prices and trends, prepared by the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mostly higher on Friday afternoon.

With trade looking for 14 billion bushel corn crop and the USDA reporting below that gave corn prices some strength.

Soybeans found their support in the USDA report with ending stocks at historically low levels.

Wheat prices were pressured by the USDA raising their estimate of ending stocks.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 6 to 8 cents higher at 4.02-4.20.

Soybean bids were 26 to 30 cents higher at 12.71-12.98.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 8 to 11 cents higher at 4.08-4.21.

Soybean bids were 25 to 30 cents higher at 12.81-12.99.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were up 5 to 9 cents at 3.98-4.27.

Soybean bids were 25 to 30 cents higher at
12.76-13.00.

Wheat bids were mixed at 6.10-6.53.
