Owners of Ram 4500 and 5500 models can take their trucks to dealers for interim repairs because parts may not be available until late next year, the statement said. The interim service would involve realignment of the front ends. Chrysler said about 968,000 of the affected trucks are in the U.S., with another 157,000 in Canada, 37,100 in Mexico and 18,000 from other countries. Owners with questions can call 800-853-1403.
