LINCOLN -- Anna M. French, 98, of
Decatur, formerly of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at 2 a.m. at Heartland Health Care Center, Decatur.

LINCOLN-Anna M. French, 98, of Decatur, formerly of
Lincoln, Illinois died at 2:00 am November 5, 2013
at Heartland Health Care Center, Decatur, IL.
Anna was born on October 16, 1915 in Springfield, IL
the daughter of William and Anna Nistahl Stach. She
married Cletus O. French September 21, 1940 in
Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death January
21, 1974.

Anna is survived by two daughters: Betty Deverman of
Bloomington; Bonnie (Mike) Tish of Decatur; one step
daughter: Gayle Lessen of Lincoln; one sister:
Freida Maloney of Springfield; six grandchildren;
four step grandchildren; and five great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one
son: William; daughter: Connie Fulscher; three
brothers, and two sisters.
Anna was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of
Lincoln and was a retired lunchroom coordinator for
District 27 schools.
Services for Anna will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday,
November 9, 2013 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln with Rev. Dan Stalker
officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to
the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in
New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be given
to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Heartland Health Care
Center for the Activity Center.
