Panthers split with Calvary

[November 09, 2013]  BLOOMINGTON -- Chester-East Lincoln met up with Normal Calvary on the second night of the Cornerstone Christian tournament.

CEL’s seventh grade came up short 23-19 to send their record to 1-1. Nick Kromrey led the way with nine points, and Will Ewald and Dean Harris had five points each.

The eighth-grade team improved to 2-0 with a 48-17 win. Isiah Bowers led with 21 points and 12 boards. Sam Birnbaum added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Jordan Jacobs had eight points.

The CEL teams will play Flanagan on Saturday morning at 10 and 11:15 to finish the tournament.
