Illini Central announces Jenna Hilgers as October Student of the
Month

MASON CITY -- The 1st State Bank of Mason City
and Illini Central High School recently presented Jenna Hilgers with
the award for October Student of the Month. For demonstrating
outstanding character, Hilgers receives a Barnes & Noble gift card
from 1st State Bank and an iTunes gift card from Illini Central High
School faculty.

Jenna is the daughter of Steve and Janell Hilgers. Jenna's classes
this year are Psychology, Leadership, Geography, Resource
Management, Career Skills, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, and
dual-credit English Composition 101 and 102. She also helps as an
office aide.
In addition, Jenna keeps busy with a number of extracurricular
activities. She is treasurer of student council, vice president of
Spanish Club, and a member of National Honor Society and Scholastic
Bowl. In sports, she is captain of the volleyball team and the poms
team.

Outside of school, she is president of 4-H, president of her
youth group and a member of the Illini Elite Volleyball Club.
Jenna plans to attend Millikin University, where she will major
in physical therapy.
