[November 15, 2013]  CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago officials have charged a 16-year-old boy for a fatal shooting that killed a 53-year-old during what investigators say was likely a botched robbery.

The teen is charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder for the Nov. 12 shooting on the city's West Side. The boy is also charged with attempted robbery, criminal damage of government property and possessing a stolen vehicle, among other charges.

Police did not release the boy's name because of his age.

Tuesday's shooting killed Michael Sullivan, a UPS employee who was heading to work an overnight shift when he was shot near a Chicago Transit Authority station.
