We know Central Illinois is a very caring community and many, many people want to help their neighbors in this emergency. Want to volunteer? Want to help? Financial donations are the best way to help those who have been affected. Call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcross.org to make a donation. Tell them you want your donation to go to the central Illinois tornado response.

Bernardi's Restaurant in Washington would like to offer their help/support to the community effort and those affected by this disaster by being a drop-off point for donations of food/clothing/toiletries/
blankets and anything else those affected will need. Items/donations can be dropped off at the Washington location Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the rest of the week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and anytime after 3:00 p.m.

No household items are needed at present....HOWEVER, clothes and children's books (for the children at rescue shelters) would be greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone needing to charge cell phones is welcome to go to TeamWorks on Washington Road to do so.

More updates will be sent as we have information to share. Thanks to everyone who has stepped up to help our fellow Washingtonians at this very difficult time.
