auctioning game-used equipment from last week's game against the
Baltimore Ravens at Soldier Field on its website. The Bears will
match donations and auction proceeds dollar for dollar up to
$100,000.
Chicago was hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday when deadly
storms and tornados hit Illinois. Six people died in the state.
On Tuesday, kicker Robbie Gould led a group of current and former
players helping in Coal City, Ill. On Wednesday, coach Marc Trestman
and guard Kyle Long wore T-shirts to show solidarity for Washington
Community High, a school from a hard-hit central Illinois town
playing in a state semifinal.
