Emergency officials say the curfew won't is
being lifted on Friday evening. It had been place from 6 p.m.
until 7 a.m. and was instituted for safety reasons because of
debris scattered around the city of about 16,000 people.
Still, despite the end of the curfew, emergency management
officials say people will only be allowed to access certain
heavily damaged homes during specific hours.
Sunday's tornado killed at least six people in Illinois, one of
them in Washington.
More than 1,000 homes in the community were damaged or
destroyed.
Washington is about 10 miles east of Peoria.
