Monday's blaze at Macon's Night Owl sent flames shooting about 30
feet in the air.
Investigators say the fire started several hours after the bar
closed. But by the time authorities arrived, the blaze became what
South Macon Fire Protection District Chief Ed Aukamp called "one
heck of an inferno."
No one was injured, but the building is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. [Associated
