In a news release, the state police will be "aggressively
patrolling Illinois roadways" for 24 hours beginning Tuesday — one
year after Trooper Kyle Deatherage was killed.
The department also says that between this week and the New Year,
troopers will implement periodic saturation patrols focusing on
speeding, seatbelts, drunken driving and distracted driving. [Associated
