Lincoln College's Phi Theta
Kappa honor society students are spreading Christmas cheer by
collecting toys for the Logan County Toys for Tots program. New,
unwrapped toys will be collected on Dec. 7 at the LC women's
basketball game that afternoon and at the winter concert that
evening. For each toy donated at each event, the donor's name will
be entered into a drawing for a Visa gift card.

At the 2 p.m. game between the Lady Lynx and the Carl Sandburg
Chargers, Phi Theta Kappa members will be at the Lincoln Center to
collect donated toys. Everyone who brings a toy to the basketball
game will receive free admission to the game and will be entered in
the gift card drawing. The winter concert, featuring LC's Chamber
Choir and Chorale, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnston Center for
the Performing Arts. Toy donors attending the concert will be
entered in a drawing for one of two Visa gift cards. The drawing
will be in the Johnston Center lobby immediately following the
concert. The concert is open to the public, and general admission is
$2.
Brittany Meador of Lincoln, president of the Phi Theta Kappa
chapter, says the group is excited to partner with others on campus
to give back to the larger community.
"We are thrilled to offer basketball fans and concert attendees
the opportunity to donate toys to the children of Logan County in
addition to enjoying some exciting basketball and/or wonderful
holiday music," Meador said.

Besides the toys collected at the basketball game and the
concert, the Phi Theta Kappa chapter itself is donating 100 toys to
Logan County Toys for Tots.
