Small Business Saturday is an
annual shopping occasion following Black Friday. This year, Nov.
30 is Small Business Saturday — a day to celebrate and support
small businesses and all they do for their communities.
|
Main Street Lincoln is a supporter of Small Business Saturday. The
historic downtown district in Lincoln offers quaint shopping, thrift
stores and tasty offerings at restaurant locations.
The public is invited to join Main Street Lincoln, the Small
Business Administration and organizations across the country in
supporting local small business by shopping at a small business on
Saturday.
Also, mark your calendars for the annual Lincoln Christmas
Parade, planned for Dec. 5. The parade will kick off at the corner
of Wyatt Avenue and Kickapoo Street at 5:30 p.m. This year's theme
is "A Picture Perfect Christmas."
Santa Claus will be visiting Lincoln to take part in the annual Christmas
parade through historic downtown. This year he has room in his sleigh for one
lucky child to ride along with him and help spread Christmas cheer. If your
child is between the ages of 5 and 12 and would like to enter for a chance to
"Ride Along with Santa," use the form online at
https://www.facebook.com/
MainStreetLincoln. The winner will be chosen by a
random drawing and will be contacted on Dec. 2 by email or Facebook message.
