Monday night fire causes $50,000 in damage to local residence

Monday evening, firefighters
from the Lincoln Fire Department and Lincoln Rural Fire Protection
District responded to a fire call on Community Drive. Below is the
text from the city fire department's call report.

On November 25, 2013 the Lincoln Fire Department responded to a
structure fire at 4 Community Drive, Lincoln.
Lincoln fire
(units) arrived and encountered
heavy smoke at the front door. The entry team entered the structure
and pulled the owner of the property from the structure. The female
victim was taken to the ambulance and checked out by Logan County
Paramedics. The victim was not injured and refused treatment.
Also on the scene
was Lincoln Rural Fire. The Lincoln fire department would like to
thank Lincoln Rural, Atlanta, Mount Pulaski, and Latham Fire
departments for their assistance during the fire.

The damage to the
structure was approximately $50,000. The origin of the fire was in
the garage.
Fire was found in
the garage and the second floor walls.
The cause of this
fire is under investigation.
