WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Lincoln
Christian University women's soccer team traveled to Watertown,
Wis., on Saturday to take on regional foe Maranatha Baptist Bible
College. Maranatha pulled away with the lopsided victory, 16-0.

It was a similar scenario in their first meeting of the year, when
LCU dropped to Maranatha 11-0. This meeting was no different, as LCU
struggled to find some offensive firepower. Maranatha held LCU to
only one shot on goal for the entire game, which is the lowest shot
total for LCU this year. Senior goalie Ashlan Rose
(Chatham/Glenwood High) took on over 50 shots made at her. Rose
recorded a stellar 26 saves on the game but gave up all 16 goals.
LCU women's soccer returns to action on
Thursday, when they host Mount Mary College at 3 p.m. on the LCU
soccer field.
