Cady Lowery: September Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High

MOUNT PULASKI -- Cady Lowery has
been named Senior-of-the-Month for September at Mount Pulaski High
School. She is the daughter of Doug and Teena Lowery of Mount
Pulaski.
Cady is co-president of National Honor Society and editor of the
school yearbook. She is a member of student council, Spanish Club,
Spirit Squad, Science Olympiad, Worldwide Youth in Science and
Engineering, Prom Committee, and Scholastic Bowl. She has been
elected class president three of her four years in high school. She
is also a four-year member of the award-winning Lady Topper
volleyball team.

Cady has the distinction of serving as state
president of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.,
following an election last summer at the state FCCLA convention in Springfield.
During her involvement with FCCLA, Cady has served as chapter
president in Mount Pulaski and as Section 12 secretary. She was also
a national gold medalist in the Chapter Showcase Manual event.

Cady has not yet made her college choice, but she plans to attend
a four-year university to major in journalism.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is co-sponsored by Johnson's Food
Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly winners receive $50
toward college expenses and are eligible to compete for the $500
Senior-of-the-Year award.
