Sunday afternoon the Lincoln
Youth Football program hosted the annual NFL Punt, Pass & Kick
competition. About 20 youngsters turned out at Eaton Fields to
compete.
Coach Sam Knox was the
official for the competition and recorded distances in each of
three events per entrant.
Each young person was required
to first punt the football, then pass it. Finally they were to
kick the ball. After each event their distances were measured
by officials helping Knox.
The competition is divided by
age groups: 6- and 7-year-olds, 8- and 9-year-olds, 10- and
11-year-olds, 12- and 13-year-olds, and 14- and 15-year-olds.
