Lincoln opened the scoring when Kyle Walton hit a 35-yard shot that
went past an outstretched keeper. The half would end with the score
1-0. Lincoln had eight shots in the half to Danville's one. "At
halftime we talked about our combination play around the goal," said
LC head coach Ben Massena, "and the boys did great, coming out and
scoring two goals in the (first) 10 minutes of the second half."
Lincoln would get a fourth goal when Jason Velasquez dribbled
past the keeper and passed the ball into an open net. Danville would
pull a goal back when Lincoln misplayed a ball in the back and gave
up a breakaway.

"Overall we are happy with the result," Massena said.
"Everyone stepped up and played well, and things are starting to
come together at a good time for us."
