Frances L. Guy, 91, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Frances L. Guy, 91, of Lincoln, passed away October
1, 2013 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday,
October 11, 2013 at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home has been
entrusted with her care.
Frances was born May 24, 1922 in Lincoln, IL., the
daughter of Grant Gorens and Florence (Boards). She
married George Henry Guy. He preceded her in death.

She retired from St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur as a
nurse anesthetist.
Surviving are her son Gregory (Marilyn) Guy, her
grandchildren: Keisha Guy, Gregory Guy Jr., and
Candy Guy; her adopted grandchildren: Bianca Byars
and Brittney Byars; 6 great grandchildren; 13
adopted great grandchildren; nephews Joseph Foster
and Stephen Foster; godson Joseph (Carlita)
Edmonson; and a host of relatives, loved ones, and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, her daughter GiGi, and 10 siblings.
