Bertha M. Scroggin, 95, of Lincoln, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at
11:30 a.m. at the Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles.

Lincoln- Bertha M. Scroggin, 95, of Lincoln, passed
away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at
the Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles, Ill.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October
15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home
in Lincoln with Mr. Ron Otto officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the
service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Bertha Madelyn Scroggin was born on June 26, 1918 in
Eminence Township (Gold Springs) the daughter of
John and Mabel Veff Vannoy. She married Wilbur
Scroggin in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1965.

She is survived by her children: Marvin Scroggin of
Seattle, Washington, Melvin Scroggin and Lori Green
both of St. Charles, Il., five grandchildren, three
great grandchildren and three great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Fern,
Marie, Lawrence, Thelma, Charles Vannoy, one son:
Van McCray and two daughters: Shirley McCray and
Betty McCray.
She was a member of the Atlanta Christian Centre.
Memorials may be made to the Logan County Food Bank.
