[October 17, 2013]  The Lincoln College women's soccer team (4-6) defeated St. Charles Community College 1-0 in Lincoln on Saturday.

The Lynx were able to shut out St. Charles and take the win on a second-half goal by sophomore Jacey Johnson (Metamora).

Coach Weekly's remarks: "This was a huge win for us! We had already played St. Charles this season in St. Louis and lost 9-2. Being able to shut out St. Charles was a big accomplishment for us, led by several quality saves by freshman goalkeeper Bri Fisher (Riverton). All of the ladies battled hard and everyone contributed to the win. This is a great result for us, beating a quality team like St. Charles. This game shows us how much we have improved since the beginning of the season, and it's positive for us to get good results as we enter into the postseason."
