"I have enjoyed working with the board and the people of Lincoln and
Logan County," Bergen said. "I feel there is a lot of potential for
the area. I think we made good progress over the past year,
particularly opening the lines of communication with the city and
county. The partnership is more closely aligned with the chamber and
other local organizations. Channels have been opened with state and
federal elected officials, progress has been made on the incubator
project, Fifth Street is moving forward, and I believe there will be
business growth in the area as inquiries continue to increase."
A
news release from the development partnership said that Bergen
worked hard to strengthen the partnership, overseeing a financial
audit, the county's inclusion in the Central Economic Development
Region, or CEDS, and the business incubator.
"Brian worked with all our partners and communities for all of
Logan County," the announcement said.
