Update on
Logan County Farm Service Agency Operations
There
is now an enacted Fiscal Year 2014 continuing resolution that
provides funding for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm
Service Agency (FSA). We are in the process of an orderly
start-up of farm program activities. Thank you for your patience and
support during the period that our services were unavailable.
We
realize that the temporary lapse in service has delayed many of the
annual payments that you were expecting. Our office is
currently in the process of issuing the Conservation Reserve Program
(CRP) payments to all eligible participants. We are
hopeful that 2013 annual DIRECT payments will soon follow;
however, at this time we do NOT have an expected date of
issuance.
Please
remember that all FSA payments should be electronically
transferred into your bank account if you have direct deposit
information on file, and you will receive a statement
from Kansas City after the payment has been issued to your
account. For anyone that does not have direct deposit information on
file, paper checks will be issued from Kansas City and will
arrive via the postal service.
