MOUNT PULASKI -- Jordan Taylor,
daughter of Greg and Marla Taylor of Chestnut, has been named
October Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was
selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship,
leadership, service and character.

Academically, Jordan is one of the top students in the Class of 2014
at Mount Pulaski High School. She is a member of the National Honor
Society, the Scholastic Bowl team and participates in Science
Olympiad. She also is a member of WYSE, a club that competes in
challenges by taking a series of tests covering science and
engineering topics. Jordan participates in the Spanish Club, Drama
Club, student council and serves as class secretary. She is also a
member of the volleyball team. In the community, Jordan
participates in a youth group and FCA at Clinton First Christian
Church.

She plans to attend Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn., to
attain a dual license in K-6 elementary education with ESL.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson's Food
Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly award winners receive a
$50 award paid to the college they plan to attend and compete for
the Senior-of-the-Year honor in May.
