This year several businesses
and organizations came out to be a part of the afternoon. In
addition, all that trick-or-treating can work up a powerful thirst
and hunger. Joe Ryan of Country Financial, members of the
Young Professionals Network, Marla Blair of United Way, and the city
of Lincoln provided soda and hot dogs to everyone.
Blair was on hand giving
everyone a hand, literally. Her clever idea this year was to
fill latex gloves with candy and treats. As folks passed
through the food line, she would say, "Here, let me give you a
hand."
The Lincoln Park District's own Roy
Logan was also on hand, keeping an eye on everything and helping
where needed.
In addition to food and candy,
there were also games set up for youngsters who needed to get
started early working off their sugar-buzz from all the sweet
treats, and there was some great music for those who might want to work it off
with a little dancing..
