The Lady Wolverines traveled to Mason City to play Illini Central.
The seventh-grade WLB team defeated the Cougars 30-21. The
seventh-grade Wolverines were led in scoring by Emma Konczyk with 13
points as Leah Schneider added eight and Page Langley six. Schneider
also contributed on the boards with 10 boards and Konczyk grabbed
eight. Konczyk turned up her defense and picked up nine steals to
help WLB. With this win, the seventh-grade Lady Wolverines had a 4-2
record.
The eighth-grade Lady Wolverines took the floor in might as they
defeated the Illini Central Cougars 44-1. Kaelyn Froebe led all
scoring with 21 points, including 15 points in the first quarter.
Morgan Lolling contributed with 10 points and Emerie Wieber provided
eight. Wieber also led in rebounding with nine boards as Froebe
pulled down four and Ali Wilson also grabbed four. Morgan Lolling
had quick hands on defense as she grabbed seven steals, and Froebe
and Kennedy Lolling provided six steals each. With the win, the
eighth-grade Lady Wolverines were 9-1 on the season.
Thursday night the Lady Wolverines hosted Bloomington Metcalf.
The seventh-grade WLB team defeated Metcalf 28-19. Leah Schneider
led the Wolverines with 13 points as Emma Konczyk added eight, Paige
Langley scored five and Morgan Mollohan contributed with two.
Schneider also led in rebounding with 11 boards as Konczyk pulled
down eight and also picked up five steals. With this win, the
seventh-grade Lady Wolverines were 5-2.

The eighth-grade Lady Wolverines took the floor with an
intense look in their eyes and defeated Metcalf 61-6. Kaelyn
Froebe led all scoring with 19 points. Other lead contributors
were Morgan Lolling with 12, Ali Wilson with 10 and Kennedy
Lolling with 7. On the rebounding side, Emerie Wieber pulled
down nine boards as Froebe and Autumn Hoffert pulled down five
each. Froebe led in steals with six, and Haley Hicks and Morgan
Lolling had four steals each. With the win, the eighth-grade
Lady Wolverines are now 10-1.
Saturday, the seventh-grade Lady Wolverines moved one step closer
to the Logan County championship as they defeated Carroll Catholic
School by a score of 41-13. Leah Schneider led all scorers with 14
points as Paige Langley added nine and Emma Konczyk eight points.
Langley led in rebounding with nine as Schneider pulled down eight,
and Emily Paulus and Konczyk pulled down seven each. Madison
Orebaugh played great defense and nabbed seven steals as Konczyk
provided five.
The seventh-grade Lady Wolverines were scheduled to play Mount
Pulaski on Monday at 7 p.m. at Zion for the county championship.
Both Lady Wolverine teams will be back on the court Tuesday at
WLB against Springfield Christian.
