"After two seasons of my WNYC podcast, I've developed a fondness for hosting a show that involved talking with smart, talented and engaging people in every imaginable field," Baldwin said.
The network said the show will begin in October.
The two-time Emmy winner for "30 Rock" and 16-time host of "Saturday Night Live" will be back in familiar territory. MSNBC said the show will be taped at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York.
