[September 12, 2013]
The Lincoln Christian University
men's soccer team hosted Emmaus Bible College on Tuesday afternoon.
Heading into it, the game was touted as an important one for both
programs. Emmaus turned out to be the victor as they scored two quick
goals in the first half and held off LCU (1-4) to win 3-0.

Throughout the game, Emmaus controlled the ball and was on the
offensive attack more times than not. Emmaus was able to score their
first goal in the first half, and then followed it up within a
couple of minutes with their second goal of the game. LCU was
never able to catch up as they dropped their second consecutive game
to Emmaus. The two teams played two weeks ago, which resulted in a
2-1 overtime loss for LCU.
LCU junior goalie Logan Arney (Effingham/Effingham High) recorded
seven saves on the night, while the entire LCU offensive attack
resulted in only seven shots being taken on the goal during the
game.

with a 2 p.m. (EST) kickoff.
