Lincoln Rural Fire Protection
District recently received a donation of equipment from Jim Doherty
of Emergency Products + Research. The donation will increase the
equipment options during an emergency call, ensuring that Lincoln
Rural continues to provide up-to-date medical care.

The donation included the following equipment: -- This seat uses air to create a safety seat
for infant and pediatric patients, while being able to be
collapsed for easy storage when not in use.
Vacuum splint
system -- Splints of different sizes used for immobilization
due to fracture of extremity by conforming to the current
position.
Backboard
-- Used to prevent spinal damage after a fall or accident.
Spider straps
-- This device is used for securing a patient to the backboard.
Vacuum mattress
-- Also used for spinal immobilization, but this mattress is
designed to conform to the natural voids in a patient's body.
Improved traction device -- This
device is primarily used to put traction on the lower extremity
during an upper leg fracture.
