ATLANTA — Joseph W. Mills, 50, of
Atlanta, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 8:10 a.m. at his home.

Atlanta -- Joseph "Joe" W. Mills, 50, of Atlanta,
passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mills will be held on
Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Assembly of God Church in Atlanta. Pastor Paul Weber
will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery. Military
Rites will be accorded by Atlanta American Legion
Post # 341.
Joseph Walter Mills was born September 28, 1963, in
New Orleans, La., the son of Raymond Bing and Mary
Strimpel . He married Shelly E. Gaither on September
21, 2009. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Brittney Mills,
Tiffany Mills, Cortney (Brett) Freeman, Mindy
(Jordan) Cunningham and J.T. Schneider; his parents:
Raymond Bing and Mary (Edward) Sromek; two sisters:
Loretta (Jerry) Richardson and Kathryn (Charlie)
Erwin; one brother: Raymond (Donna) Bing, Jr.; and
one grandchild: Jude Evans.

Joe was preceded in death by one sister: Paula
Strandell and one brother: Robbie Bing.
Joe was employed as the safety director for Domino
Transport in Bloomington. He had served in the
United States Navy.
Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God
Community Building Fund.
