Charles Edward Waltz Jr., 66, of Lincoln, died Thursday, April 10,
2014, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Charles Edward Waltz Jr., 66, of Lincoln passed away
April 10, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 15, 2014 from 1:00
PM until 2:00 PM at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00
PM Tuesday also at the funeral home with Pastor
Larry Crawford officiating. Burial will be at a
later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Charles was born June 28, 1947 in Nevada, MO., the
son of Charles Edward Waltz Sr. and Lucy (Moore)
Waltz.
He proudly served his country in the United States
Navy. He retired from Lincoln Developmental Center
after more than 28 years of service.

Surviving are: his son Mayor Edward (Angela) Waltz
of Maysville, NC; his daughter Melissa (David)
Houston of Weldon, IL.; grandchildren Chance and
Allen Waltz and Elizabeth and Destiny Houston; and
sisters Lenora ( Orin) Marshall of Holton, KS and
Rosemary Waltz of Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step
sisters Louise Bennett and Frances Ellifrits, step
brothers Roy Whalen and Sam DeVore, and half
brothers Keith Waltz and Gerald Waltz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
