In Rick O'Hara's wildlife class, kids learned about the elk, bears and turkeys

One of several displays O'Hara brought with him for the kids to see and touch.

Paula Crawford taught the kids how to make no-sew blankets.

This group quickly made four blankets, then set about cutting the tie strips for the younger students.

She took advantage of the older students' help to pre-cut the blanket edges for younger classes that would come later in the day.

Kids in this group were having a lot of fun, but they were also learning something that could some day come in handy: sign language.

Their instructor was Linda Schaefer (seated).

To the right is Amy Naughton.  Naughton was one of several parent volunteers who assisted with the day.  She was kind enough to guide LDN on a tour of the various classes, and later in the day would conduct her own class on taking care of livestock.
