The YMCA hosted its sixth annual
3-D Archery Shoot on Saturday, April 5. The shoot was at
the property of Kurt and Warren Wendlandt of New Holland.
Twenty-two children
participated in the event. Each participant had three chances to
shoot at a target. Targets included animal decoys such as a deer,
bear, groundhog and coyote.
Trophies were handed out for
the top three finishers in each age category. T-shirts, certificates
and various other prizes were given to all the children.
The Wendlandts catered the
event and had hot dogs, s'mores, chips, drinks and desserts for all
participants and their families.
Dave Duvall, the YMCA archery
instructor, did a wonderful job teaching safety and the proper way
to shoot bows and also made it very fun for the kids.
The event was
sponsored by Ron Adams of Ron's Towing and James Grimaldi of
Grimaldi Law Office.
