"We have talked about keeping our own players and this is a positive
for us," Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement.
The 6-foot-4, 311-pound Mack was drafted by the Browns in the first
round in 2009. He has not missed an offensive play in five years, a

___ The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Damian Williams to a
one-year contract.
The 6-3, 193-pound Williams spent the past four seasons with the
Tennessee Titans (2010-13). He appeared in 54 games with 17 starts.
He has 106 catches for 1,313 yards and five touchdowns.
___ San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick responded Friday to
reports that he and two other players are involved in an incident in
Miami.
Police said Thursday they were following up after an April 1
incident that involves Kaepernick, 49ers wide receiver Quinton
Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette.
"The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are
completely wrong," Kaepernick wrote Friday on Twitter. "They make
things up about me that never happened.
"I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes
you have to deal with someone who makes things up."
