Zion Lutheran School bowler Michael Newhouse placed 30th out of 148 students at the IESA State Bowling Tournament.

Zion Lutheran student Michael Newhouse places in state bowling tournament Share [April 14, 2014]  JOLIET — Michael Newhouse, an eighth-grader at Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln, participated in the Illinois Elementary School Association State Bowling Tournament in Joliet.

A total of 148 students participated in the tournament.

Michael had scores of 110, 193, 178, 156, 160, 187, 195, 145, 180 and 158 in his 10 games during the contest.

He finished with a 166 average, placing him in 30th place out of 148 participants.

Michael's bowling coach was Cindy Newhouse.
