ATLANTA — Kenneth Doolin, 73, of
Atlanta, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at 12:24
p.m. at his home.

Atlanta- Kenneth G. Doolin, 73, of rural Atlanta
passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 12:24 p.m.
at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services for Mr. Doolin will be held on
Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Quiram
Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta with Pastor Dee
Pruitt officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the
service.
Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.
Kenneth Gene Doolin was born on November 17, 1940 in
Pinckneyville, Ill., the son of Phillip and Minnie
Lucille Koenigstein Doolin. He married Jane Beck on
September 15, 1963. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: LaVonna Beck,
Richard (Angie) Doolin and Vicky (Rex) Wright, two
sisters: Phyllis Witt, Wanda (Gene) Cross, two
brothers: Maurice (Donna) Doolin, Roger (Marsha)
Doolin, Four grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
He retired from General Electric in Bloomington
after thirty years of service. He was a member of
Machinist's Union Local #1000.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and
driving his John Deere tractor.
