Tuesday morning, the
Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors helped Vanessa Komnick,
owner of Blades Hair and Nail Salon in Lincoln, celebrate
her 10th anniversary in the business. While Blades has been a well-known
business in Lincoln for several years, Komnick became the owner just
10 years ago at the very young age of 22.
In honor of the event, the
chamber business representatives along with chamber director Andi Hake and administrative
assistant Nicole Cox had a ribbon-cutting inside the store.
Hake opened with a few
congratulatory words, and Komnick also spoke. She gave much of
the credit for her 10 years of success to the staff she has
working with her. She noted they were all incredible, and she
appreciated them very much.
She then gave the ribbon a
quick snip with the chamber's new scissors. Afterward everyone
was invited to enjoy some punch, cookies and cupcakes, and to take
home a goodie bag of hair care products, courtesy of Blades.
