Ann LaMotte, online
instructional designer at Lincoln Christian University, has been
promoted to an associate faculty member, effective June 1.
LaMotte became an employee of LCU in 1980 and was appointed to
faculty status in 2001. She has been instrumental in the development
and expansion of online instruction and training at LCU by creating
and developing online courses, and by training LCU faculty, staff
and other personnel in services and use of online platforms.

Her
promotion to the rank of associate professor was the result of a
recommendation process initiated by a committee of her peers. The
provost and dean also review requests for faculty promotion and,
upon endorsement, send the committee recommendation on to the
college president for final approval.
LaMotte is "intelligently prepared, infinitely patient and
incredibly adept at making hard things easy," a colleague noted.
"She has equipped me technologically and pedagogically to be a more
effective teacher in the 21st century!"
