[April 30, 2014]  Clinton High School track standout Morgan Witzke has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at Lincoln Christian University. The signing at the Laughlin Center on the LCU campus was attended by her family.

Witzke's older sister, Mykenzie Witzke, was the leading contributor of goals for the LCU Red Lions women's soccer team in the 2013 season. They have both expressed excitement about being together and playing soccer this fall.

Said Mykenzie about her sister joining her: "We ran track together in high school and we've always been very close. It will be awesome to be on the same team again."

Women's soccer head coach Todd Spellman was excited about Witzke's decision to play at LCU. "Morgan is a truly outstanding athlete. She is very strong, very fast and will adapt to our style of play very quickly. I am excited about what Morgan will bring to our team," he said.
