Obituary
Ellis C. West, 61, of Lincoln passed away at 2:28
a.m. August 6, 2014 at Hopedale Medical Complex.
Ellis was born September 9, 1952 in Litchfield,
Kentucky the son of Sherman and Ora Ree (Kiper)
West.
Ellis is survived by a special companion of 37
years, Linda Vannoy; a step daughter: Amy Vannoy;
his brothers: Sherman (Joan) West of Lincoln; Roger
West of Davenport, Iowa; Sisters: Anna Franciskovich
of Lincoln; Barbara Rankin of Davenport, Iowa; and
Elizabeth (Andy) Hernandez of Chenoa. He was
preceded in death by his parents and brothers:
Jimmy, Charles T. and Wilbur.

Ellis served in the U.S. Air Force during Viet Nam;
he worked as a fork lift driver and retired from St.
Gobain, Lincoln. Ellis loved to go camping, country
music, work and he loved his animals. He loved all
sports and especially NASCAR racing.
Services for Ellis will be Monday at 10:00 a.m.
August 11, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln. Visitation will be Sunday, August 10
from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery with full military
rites accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post #263.
Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of
Logan County or the American Cancer Society.
