Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner to attend Logan County GOP BBQ

[August 12, 2014]  LINCOLN - Bruce Rauner, the Republican nominee for Illinois Governor will be attending a Logan County Republican BBQ event, this Sunday - August 17th at 3PM at the home of Chuck and Penny Fricke in Lincoln, Illinois.

Rauner, who is beginning his 17-day downstate bus tour the day after Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair, will stop in Lincoln at the County GOP event. Rauner will meet attendees and provide remarks.

In addition, TV Personality and 4-time “Memphis in May World BBQ Champion Mike Mills will return to Lincoln to serve his championship pork BBQ at the event.

“We are thrilled to host Bruce Rauner at our BBQ event in his honor. Bruce has brought much enthusiasm to his campaign for Governor and given the state’s lack of leadership and direction, I feel he is the right person and the right time for all of Illinois - especially for us here in Logan County,” said Bender.

Bender stated that Rauner will be in his third day of his 17-day bus tour, taking him to over 70 communities in Illinois.
