War
on Christmas...Dragon's war

Of
course it is only August and Christmas is still over four months
away. The problem is we hear about the war on Christmas all year
long. We can't turn on the television or listen to the radio anymore
without hearing about the atrocities the terrorists referred to as
ISIS in Syria and Iraq are carrying out against humanity, especially
the Christians. Horrific scenes of dead children lying on the ground
are seen more abundantly now than anyone in a civilized world needs
or wants to see. Thousands of Christians have been forced to the
mountain top in Iraq being pursued by the terrorists. Some in the
news media are referring to the terrorists as "militant groups" or
"rogue fighters" but whatever the media wants to call them to soften
their identity from wanton killers, the fact remains they are
terrorists to the core. |
Now, before a barrage of upset people fire off a truck-load of letters to
the editor claiming I am comparing the knocking down of a nativity scene in
front of the courthouse in America to what is going on with ISIS in Syria
and Iraq, let me simply suggest it is a horrific outcome along a continuum
of a set of atrocities that may only begin with kicking the baby Jesus out
of the manger being displayed on the town square. When the hearts of
humanity reach the depths of what we are seeing in the Middle East, we can
be assured the sin nature is in control and those terrorists have turned
their lives over to the evilness of the devil.
In our country we see a war each year geared toward trying to eliminate
Christmas and replacing it with a "Winter Holiday," but in reality it is a
war against Christians. It is a war that has been carried out for a couple
of thousand years and of course, will likely continue on until judgment
comes. Perhaps among the most futile endeavors in which one can engage these
days is the actions to make war on Christmas. When you think about the
efforts of Lucifer, the dragon, and the war he has perpetrated throughout
history totally without avail in destroying Christianity; it a tragedy of
course and seems an intolerable injustice propelling the weak efforts from
atheists and unbelievers, and in today's world, even the terrorists who are
mounting a war against Christians in current events.
We are witnessing the most deplorable actions being carried out against
Christians in the Middle East with beheadings, crucifixions, rape, hanging
and firing squad killings. Even with the efforts of a horrified watching
world and the armies with precision bombing or even carpet-bombing, the
hate, evil and violence will only be curtailed partially because of the
hardened hearts of the terrorists who are following Satan the dragon and
will ultimately only be stopped by the intervention of God. For a preview of
that action refer to the Revelation of Jesus.
[to top of second column] |
"Then the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth,
so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born." "Then war
broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the
dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But the dragon
was not strong enough to prevail, so there was no longer any place
left in heaven for him and his angels. So that huge dragon – the
ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives
the whole world – was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along
with him." "...But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word of their testimony...." Ultimately the dragon will be dealt
with, "And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of
fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are too, and
they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever."
We should do all that we can to stop the mayhem being carried out by
the terrorists who are waging a war against Christmas. That includes
everything from besmirching the name of Christ, to the systematic
genocide being perpetrated by satanic terrorists like the ones who
refer to themselves as ISIS. Those who are killing should be
stopped; they are following a spirit of hate, murder and evil. But
even a small, shallow victory for them is empty and hollow. They
will not succeed; their doom is sealed.
So each time I hear of the "war on Christmas" I know it is only
those who have decided to do the bidding of Satan who is making his
last-ditch effort to win a battle he has already lost. So Christians
should not lose heart, the die has already been cast, the battle is
already won and any small victory accorded to the followers of the
dragon will be short-lived, their doom is already established and
the Christian's victory is already assured!
