 Veterans can stop by the Elk’s Golf Pro-Shop from 8am to 7pm any
day of the week., the Lincoln American Legion from 1pm to 9pm any
day of the week, and the Chamber of Commerce 9am to 5pm Monday –
Friday. There are only 100 ride and admission passes available so
they will be available at these locations for only as long as they
last.
The passes are available to any veteran in Logan County that has
served in any branch of our armed services. Each veteran that comes
to one of the designated locations will receive one free weekend
admission pass to the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival being held on
August 22nd, 23rd and 24th. The admission pass will get one veteran
a wristband that will allow him/her access to the activities at the
Logan County Airport both Friday and Saturday. Veterans will also
receive one free tethered balloon ride pass good for one veteran to
ride in one of the weekends main attractions—a hot air balloon. This
year we have two tethered balloons, one being sponsored by our local
State Farm agents, and the other sponsored by the Chamber of
Commerce.
