TX - Mason E. House, 88, of Addison, Texas, formerly of Lincoln, IL
passed away August 6, 2014 at Baylor Regional Medical Center of
Plano, Tx.

Obituary
Mason E House, 88, of Addison, Texas, formerly of
Lincoln, passed away on August 6, 2014, at Baylor
Regional Medical Center of Plano. He is survived by
his wife Florence of 63 years, daughter Stephanie
House of Addison Texas, son Randy and wife Debbie
(Franklin) House of Plano, Texas, and daughter
Kimberly House of Pensacola, Florida. Grandsons
Parker House - Los Angeles, California, Harrison
House - Houston, Texas, and Spencer House -
University of Cincinnati, and granddaughters Sarah
Grace and Mary Catherine Lykins - Pensacola, Florida
and brother Tyler House - Wisconsin. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to
many.
Mason was born August 19, 1925, to Frank T. and
Hazel M. House in Lincoln, IL. After graduating from
Lincoln High School as a junior, where he lettered
in football, he enlisted in the Navy and attended
the University of IL and Murray State University,
playing football for Murray for one season while in
the Naval Flight Training Program during WWII. He
served in the South Pacific on the USS LSM 204
during WWII.

After the war, Mason graduated from Bradley
University with a degree of horology, joining his
father and uncle at House and Sons Jewelers in
Lincoln. He married Florence Malerich on February
12, 1951. For the majority of his working career he
was a realtor and developer of both Country Club
Estates and Chautauqua Woods. He was very proud of
these developments for the city of Lincoln. He was
preceded in death by his parents and infant
daughter; Jean Ann. Private family graveside
services with military honors will be held at a
later date. Memorial donations may be made to the
First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln or to St.
Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
