            [August 20, 2014]
LINCOLN - Children ages 13 and younger
in Lincoln have the opportunity to receive college scholarships by
simply doing one of their favorite activities: coloring. The
Cellular Connection, the largest Verizon Premium Wireless Retailer
in the U.S., announces today that its “Color for College” program
will donate $1,500 college scholarships to students nationwide at
nearly 300 of its stores. |

            |
From Aug.3-31, participating TCC stores across the
U.S. are inviting local families to bring their children to the
store to color a pre-printed page from TCC and complete the entry
information on the back. One $1,500 scholarship will be given to the
winning submission at each participating store in the form of a 529
college savings plan that cannot be redeemed until the student
attends college. No purchase necessary. Winners will be selected in
a random drawing on Sept. 5. Parents and guardians of the winners
will be contacted by Sept. 30 with details of how to redeem the
			scholarships.
The participating store in Lincoln is located at 1275 Woodlawn Rd.

The “Color for College” program falls on the heels of TCC donating
100,000 backpacks to students across the U.S. during its annual
School Rocks Backpack Giveaway that took place on Aug. 2.
"We are excited to contribute to children’s education through our
‘Culture of Good’ movement," said Scott Moorehead, president and CEO
of TCC. "This is how our company gives back to the communities where
we do business, and education is a primary focus of these efforts.
In the end, we want both parents and kids to know we care and their
			education matters to us.”
