WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen made no comment on current economic conditions or the outlook for monetary policy in welcoming remarks on Tuesday to college students.

She said students taking part in the 2014 College Fed Challenge National Finals would have to assess the state of the economic recovery, as policymakers did, and that clear communication of their decision was essential.
